What is your primary product or service?
Anything the customer wants that is made from wood, be it an armoire to a wall unit.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I started working w/ wood as a kid. It remained a passion through school & after high-school I went to work in a water-bed shop & on to furniture shop .Then later I worked in a cabinet shop & after I moved to Maine I worked in a wooden spiral stair shop. Then I opened my own shop in 1991.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We are different because we don't make a product line. We work w/ the customer to make their ideas happen. We also do expert repairs on furniture.We build custom staircases, do finish carpentry work, carpentry repair and ceramic tile work.We also build custom kitchens.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We only have one location in Kennebunkport, and it works well so I see no need to have any other locations.If the shop needs to expand we can add-on.
